Emmy, votes, and books, oh my!

First, the folks at the Emmys have finally recognized quality!

1) Outstanding Music Composition For A Series  (Dramatic Underscore) - Stargate: Atlantis Grace Under Pressure - Composed Joe Goldsmith  :):)

2) For those with time on their hands, you can vote for JOE FLANIGAN at http://www.celeeb.com/joe-flanigan/  ;)

3) A new paperback Stargate Atlantis book entitled HALYCON will be out from Fandemonium on July 15th!

In their ongoing quest for new allies, Atlantis's flagship team travel to Halcyon, a grim industrial world where the Wraith are no long feared - they are hunted.

Horrified by the brutality of Halcyon's warlike people, Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard soon becomes caught in the political machinations of Halcyon's aristocracy.

In a feudal society where strength means power, he realises the nobles will stop at nothing to ensure victory over their rivals.

Meanwhile, Doctor Rodney McKay enlists the aid of the daughter of Halcyon's ruler to investigate a powerful Ancient structure; but McKay's scientific brillance has aroused the interest of the planet's most powerful man - a man with a problem he desperately needs McKay to solve.

As Halcyon plunges into a catastrophe of its own making, the team must join forces with the warlords - or die at the hands of their bitterest enemy...

4) At http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds34409.html, Rachel Luttrell answered questions from fans (they'll be published later) but there's a brief audio clip on the site. Some tidbits, no spoilers really as who knows what will develop...

Rachel said there was a "lot more humor injected in the series" and viewers will get to see more of "who she is, when she isn't on duty." She mentioned that they might actually "bite into something" in regards to love interests for Teyla.
