Rundown of Stargate Atlantis Actors (September 25-October 1, 2010)

Oops, missed a week. Sorry about that!

Most fans probably know about the charity auction Joe is offering up – himself and David Hewlett for an exclusive lunch - http://www.charitybuzz.com/auctions/joeflanigan/catalog_items - to help a dying friend (Sarah Geary) and her family.

Details of posts he made are up at:
http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/451607.html  and

and he’s made several other tweets:
JoeFlanigan “Can someone just make a donation to your friend without going through the auction?” Yes, yes, yes. http://www.friendsofsarahgeary.com/

You should really visit Joe’s twitter account - http://twitter.com/#!/JoeFlanigan - for more details. Hmm, that #! Just keeps popping in.  It works without, as well.

And he has finished filming “Best Laid Plans” in Toronto….”And that is a wrap! After 2 all nighters and 30 other days. Now, if I could just locate the rest of my brain I can pack and get out of here.” And is off buying action figures! “Note to self: next time purchasing my own action-figure in store, come with well-developed excuse.”

Was busy shooting a guest shot on Stargate Universe (so wasn’t able to attend Paul McGillion’s wedding, from the looks of it).  Said “
Longest Stargate shooting day ever...and yet somehow not long enough...I will be back to serious McKay mourning when this is over!”

His wife is going over his writing (new film???) “Just sent another film synopsis to Jane. Weird that I get nervous sending writing to my wife...and weird that she's looking at me right now! (9/21)

And he’s got a new house?? “Jane is explaining our new mortgage to me...I now know how Sheppard must have felt while McKay was spouting tech talk on Stargate!” (9/22)

And already Baz is judging dad ;) “Doctor Who doll selected for rocket flight because Daddy doll "too fat". Diet won't fix my action figure so it's time to get a new child.” (9/26)

And he tweeted about the most likely once-in-a-lifetime lunch with Joe Flanigan and himself: “Here's the key to lunching with @dhewlett and @JoeFlanigan and actually feeling good about it! ;-) http://bit.ly/9DWUPh” (9/28)

Is working on her new CD  (9/23 tweet:
Had an AMAZING vocal coaching session yesterday! Going back for more today. Got my work cut out for me...) and said CD should be out by end of November.

Said of former co-star Jason Momoa “Spoke to Jason briefly this weekend from somewhere in Italy. Said he loved me so much he wanted to kick me in the butt and squeeze my head.”

And is working on a facebook page! “is sitting at a coffee shop setting up her new Facebook fanpage. :-D” (10/1)  There are already a couple, so hoping she’ll announce the correct link.

Alas, have not heard nor seen anything.

Alas, have not heard nor seen anything since wedding. Hmm, perhaps he's on his honeymoon :)

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/comicmovies/news/?a=23300 reports…Conan movie to be 3D (yech, sorry, sick of it).

Can be seen in SyFy’s trailer for "Red" at

A behind-the-scenes video on Kavan’s “Growing the Big One,” airing on Hallmark Channel on October 23rd at 9pm. Aaron Pearl (young Hammond) is also in the cast. Nice video with Kavan explaining his role, plus scenes from the movie.  And a cute grinning picture (check under Photos)

Would like to get to 10,000 followers on Twitter “
(Child's play compared to SOME Hewletts, I realize, but it's important to have goals. Dumb ones.)”

Other twitter info: Only problem with writing a cop show? Can't stop coming up with interesting ways to kill people.  (So she's writing... oh, can only hope it's Flashpoint!)

Tweeted about a guest role on the drama “The Listener” (which was on NBC once, got cancelled, but lives on in Canada) “Just got my passcard for the IIB. Corporal Dev Clark is officially in the building! http://ow.ly/i/4dvy

Well…movies are still up in the air…

From a recent interview at

Interview: `Stargate Universe' Co-Creator Brad Wright Previews Season 2

Q: Are we going to see some of the developments of that episode maybe feed into an Atlantis or an SG-1 DVD movie down the line?

A: The only thing that is blocking the SG-1 movie or the Atlantis movie, the only thing, is the fact that the direct-to-DVD market has gone away. We were very fortunate with Ark of Truth and Continuum to be among the last very successful direct-to-DVD releases before it all stopped happening. The market has change, and it's still changing, and it's not what it was. And, of course, there have been very big changes at MGM that kind of added to that. But we had the intentions to make them. We were ready to go, and it was "Wait a while" and "We should wait a little longer," and the climate never got better. We held on to a lot of stuff and were ready to go for a very long time, but that doesn't mean it's not gonna happen. We have a plan B, and I've been talking with MGM about it, and hopefully we'll still get our chance.

Author Jo Graham - http://jo-graham.livejournal.com/ - reported on 9/26 that the standalone novel “Death Game” is “
expected to be done at the printers a week from Wednesday, on the sixth, and should ship as soon as it's done. So not long! I'm so eager for it to be out!” and “A reader asks, "Is Homecoming still on track to come out this month? And what do you hope readers will take away from it?" Yes, Homecoming is on track to come out this month! We are expecting the galleys momentarily, and that's the last step before printing. So yes, Homecoming is on schedule.

So, good news on the SGA novel front! Gotta get my order into Amazon.
