Countdown to DisneyHell: 48 hours...tick tock. If Florida can make missing chads dissappear, can't they do the same with DisneyWorld?

FROM IFTN.com (10/14/2010)

Windmill Lane are currently posting two feature projects for Parallel Films. The TV movies, ‘The Other Side’ and ‘Roadkill’, being made for British Sci-fi channel Syfy, both filmed in Ireland during summer 2010 and are currently in the hands of Windmill’s expert VFX team.

With Gráinne Gavigan (The Clinic) editing the feature at Windmill, ‘The Other Side’ is directed by BAFTA nominee, Billy O’Brien (The Tale of the Rat that Wrote) and stars Joe Flanigan (The Other Sister) and John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark).

Written by Douglas G. Davis (Carny), the feature tells the story of a groundbreaking device designed to glimpse alternate universes. But when the machine malfunctions on its first demonstration and transports a group of observers into a nightmarish new dimension of bizarre alien terrors, the travellers must use ingenuity and courage to survive. But even if they stay alive, without a working transport, the group may never make it home.

’The Other Side’ is produced by Adrian Sturges (The Disappearance of Alice Creed) and the director of photography is Peter Robertson (Disco Pig) who shot on locations in Dublin and Wicklow. The support cast includes Catherine Walker (Leap Year), Dagmar Doring (Georgian Underworld), Chris Newman (Song for a Raggy Boy), Robert Soohan (David Copperfield), Sam O’Mahony (Casualty) and Yare Jegbefune (Fair City).

Casting Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Nathan Fillion has officially thrown his hat in the ring to play the hero in the forthcoming videogame adaptation, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. But he’s not the only actor interested…
EXCERPT: Now, this is, of course, awesome news. Fillion is ideal for the role in every way. However, there is a problem. Well, two actually. Firstly, at 39 years old there is every chance that Russell and the studio might think he is too old for the role, especially if they are viewing it as the first part of a franchise, and secondly, he's not the only one that wants the job.
Joe Flanigan of Stargate: Atlantis has said he is also interested in the role, citing his skill at the game. In a tweet, Flanigan said, "I would love to play Nathan Drake! And I'm damn good at the game too!"

A round up of the amazing press #thebeast of bottomless lake has recieved during the Vancouver Int'l Film Festival : http://bit.ly/bttVkM

NEWS: Screening shortly . . .

Mark Ratzlaff, 25, has a day job editing and shooting documentaries for TV, but always has a fictional project brewing in his spare time. Three of his four short films have played the Vancouver International Film Festival, the latest of them being the retro black comedy Voodoo.

The movie stars Camille Sullivan (of TV's Shattered and Intelligence) mixing equal parts Indiana Jones and Barbara Stanwyck as a globe-trotting explorer-scientist who comes home with some magic to get rid of her mousy accountant husband (Stargate Atlantis's David Nykl). Hubby, meanwhile has a thing for the young bride next door (Ali Liebert), pining for her soldier husband (Giles Panton) off in Europe fighting the Second World War.

The resulting film, expanded from a very short story by 1940s pulp writer Fredric Brown, has astonishing scope in its just more than 10 minutes running time, going from a 1940s suburb to the explorer's unnamed jungle, to those Second World War battlefields, with a quick stop at a Casablanca-style airport and a ride with a retro cabbie (Fringe's Eugene Lipinski), all shot in lushly-lit black and white.

Get ready to slip on your bathing suits, because Fringe is going back to the tank.
And it looks like Olivia won't be the only one with a visitor in upcoming episodes, as we've learned that Director Broyles (which universe's counterpart remains to be seen) will see his young son Christopher Broyles, as played by young actor Curtis Harris.  The meeting takes place in episode seven, "The Abducted," which also sees David Nykl playing "Reverend Marcus."

@katehewlett tweeted on 10/20/10:
Who gets to spend 8 hours with Robert Cooper tomorrow? ME! (He's our guest teacher at the CFC. Worlds are officially colliding.)

Jewel is in the movie Mrs. Miracle, which will be shown on the Hallmark Channel on November 27th, but it is also avaialble on DVD. Here is an excerpt from a review:

For those coming to Mrs. Miracle more from books than television, the most famous name may be Debbie Macomber, who actually receives possessive credit in the movie's full title. Macomber has written over a hundred novels, most of them romances or "women's fiction" and several of them as part of various series. The book Mrs. Miracle, first published in 1996 and reprinted in 2005, is Macomber's second adapted for TV. It isn't her last either. Call Me Mrs. Miracle, which assigns a returning Doris Roberts to a new set of attractive people in need (among them, Lauren Holly and Jewel Staite), is scheduled to air on Hallmark this Thanksgiving Saturday, November 27th. Macomber's book, on which this sequel is based, was recently published

It was reported on the Stargate Atlantis Talk yahoo list that Erin Chambers (Sora) is playing an Irish character on the ABC soap, “General Hospital.”

Ben Cotton (Kavanagh) reports on twitter (@bengcotton) that he’s doing some work on CW’s “Hellcats.”

And to make matters worse, there's a Wraith cruiser in the skies above…
Meanwhile, Ronon and Doctor Zelenka find themselves in an unlikely partnership as they seek a way off their island and back to the Stargate. And Doctor McKay? He just wants to get the Stargate working…

Doctor Rodney McKay can't believe his eyes when he discovers a moon leaving planetary orbit for a collision course with its own sun. Keen to investigate, he finds something astonishing on the moon's surface - an Ancient city, the mirror of Atlantis…
But the city is not as abandoned as he thinks and Colonel Sheppard's team soon encounter a strange sect of Ancients living beneath the surface, a sect devoted to decadence and debauchery, for whom novelty is the only entertainment. Our Authors
Our authors are the lifeblood of Stargate SG-1 Novels. They are a diverse bunch - creative, energetic and, most importantly, fans of the show!
Each one has a different take on the show. Some of them will focus on the mythology while others concentrate on new technologies, conspiracies and politics. Of course, all of them will deliver the excitement and action/adventure you've come to expect from Stargate SG-1.
It's too early to post details of individual authors yet (they're a shy and retiring bunch - really!), but as we get closer to publication dates for individual novels, we'll try to fill you in with details about their writing credits and their views on the show.
